You know, Ballarat is another beautiful spot for your ceremony.  It takes less than an hour and a half to get there, easy travelling on the Western Freeway.  Ballarat has retained its old world charm, with some of the most beautiful historical buildings and homes in Victoria.

On the way to Ballarat, in under an hour from Melbourne, is the wonderful restored old pub, ‘The Plough Bistro’.  Why not stop and have a delicious lunch there on a Sunday – the menu is mouthwatering!  Check it out for your wedding:

If you think the winery is more your style, St Anne’s Winery offers extensive grounds to choose from where you can have your ceremony perhaps overlooking a stunning lake  or with a background of the picturesque vines.  St Anne’s wines are sure to impress your guests!

If you want to travel a little further into Ballarat proper, continue on the freeway to Pipers By The Lake.  Pipers is situated with an overlook of Lake Wendouree which you can take in from the rear decking.  You could have your actual ceremony right in front of the Lake with the ducks and swans in the background.  Pipers is situated across from the historic Botanical Gardens.  So many photo opportunities!
